Our Science curriculum draws upon children's innate curiosity about the world in order to raise questions, solve problems, explore and experiment and discuss big issues. Children have the opportunity to raise their own questions and conduct their own investigations to help develop independence. Science teaching will help children to develop higher order thinking skills: understanding, applying, analysing evidence and evaluating results. It encourages children to be logical, to anticipate (think ahead), be sceptical, be open to new ideas and willing to change one's mind and be able to justify opinions.
